Young, beautiful, talented, brilliant, at times quirky, but definitely madly in love.

Saab marries her dream, and Jim calls their wedding day and beyond their masterpiece.

Whatever they call it, their families and friends were witness to their inspiring collaboration, turning a string of bright, deep, powerful notes into a lifetime song.

It’s an honor, not to mention a challenge, to shoot a fellow wedding photographer’s wedding. Despite being Hong Kong locals, Jon and Merryl chose Boracay as the picture perfect backdrop for their beautiful wedding, riddled with inspiring details and bathed with tons of God-given golden sunlight.

Easily one of my most memorable shoots in my favourite island in the world, perhaps in a way like you’ve never seen before.

A dream come true.

Looking at these images, I again find myself speechless, overwhelmed, recounting what all of us workshoppers there would fondly call ‘The Jose Villa Experience’. In all its myriad of details and entirety, it is deservedly called so, and for me, has been truly one of the best experiences of my life.

I can only express my immense gratitude through these photos and the inspiration behind it. Thank you Jose Villa, and your dream team of wedding industry leaders who have ingeniously, lovingly crafted this amazing, life changing workshop. It’s been truly awesome meeting you all who have been such wonderful inspiration on my journey in photography and self-discovery. And what an incredible privilege it was learning from the best in the world.

But above all the boundless beauty and glamour that you all effortless create through and through, I will always be reminded of your unforgettable enthusiasm, warmth, sincerity, and humility.

This engagement was shot on the 2nd day of the workshop, all shot digitally and processed in Filmtastic.

Some things do come full circle at our lifetime. Quite memorable reminiscing Eileen and Charles’ engagement last year as we shot it at a very special place to me – where I rediscovered my deep love for photography 5 years ago after a hiatus of more than 10 years. And an amazing coincidence, this was also the place wherein I decided to take a leap of faith in the current direction I’m taking now with my photography, that found me wandering in Paris, Florence, Siena, Rome, and especially Tuscany, Italy for bounds of inspiration a few months after.

Thoroughly enjoyed the glorious light, undulating terrain, and incredible scenery on this shoot. Eileen and Charles’ spark-filled chemistry is wonderful icing on the cake.
